Ardisia Humilis "Shoebutton Plant"
Ardisia Humilis
3" Pot
Ardisia humilis is an evergreen shrub that typically reaches a height of 1–2 meters, although it can occasionally grow up to 5 meters tall. The leaves are characterized by their broad, ovate to elliptical shape, measuring 15–18 centimeters in length and 5–7 centimeters in width.
They possess a leathery texture and come to a sharp, pointed apex.
Come mid-spring, Ardisia humilis displays clusters of reddish-purple to pink flowers, each with a diameter of 5–6 millimeters. In late autumn, the shrub produces striking red to dark purple drupes, each about 6 millimeters in diameter. These drupes contain a single seed, contributing to the plant's reproductive cycle.
