Perlite has many applications in horticulture and can be used for soil aeration, drainage, potting soil mixes or soil-less growing mediums. It is made from heated and expanded volcanic glass (which pops like popcorn when heated) and is very lightweight and safe for use. Great for use in houseplant soil mixes, seedling mix, propagation from cuttings, hydroponics and cacti and succulent soil mixes.
