Tillandsia "Butzii"

Tillandsia air plants belong to the Bromeliaceae family of plants. They bloom once in their lifetime making them moncarpic plants. In nature, they attach themselves to the trunks and braches of trees. They do not require soil for growth, in fact, soil can be harmful to them. They reproduce by sending out offsets known as pups around their base. They are very easy to care for performs best in partial shade or indirect light, so avoid keeping your air plants in direct sun. They don't like being overwatered or will succumb to rot. A light mist of distilled or bottled water one to three times per week is sufficient for air plants.
